Tarih sevgim ve kartpostallara olan merakım bu sahada araştırma yapmaya başlamamdaki en büyük etkendir.
Elinizdeki kitap 10 yıl süren bir araştırmanın ürünüdür. Sayısız araştırma belgesi ve kitapları incelemem sırasında; Osmanlı Dönemi kartpostal editörlerinin fotoğraflarına ulaşmak, aileleriyle temasa geçmek, zaman zaman kabristan ziyaretleri yapmak ve editörlerin mezarlarını bulmak çalışmamın en mutluluk veren yanlarıydı. Bu özel insanların dünyalarına girmek, konu hakkındaki bilgi ve becerilerimi geliştirmeme yardımcı oldu.
Döneme ait çok fazla kaynak olmaması beni zorladı ve araştırma sürecini uzattı. Ancak emin olmadığım ve kanıtını bulamadığım hiçbir bilgiyi sizlerle paylaşmadım.
Bu çalışma, koleksiyoncular ve konunun meraklıları için bir başlangıçtır. Çalışmaları geliştirmek siz kartofillerin ve araştırmacıların elindedir.
Çocukluğumdan beri, koleksiyon ve koleksiyonculuğa önem vermiş biri olarak sizlere yani kartofillere ve kartpostal koleksiyonculuğuna başlamak isteyen genç arkadaşlarımıza bu kitabı bir rehber kitap olarak sunuyorum.

My love of history and my interest in postcards is the most important factor to start researching in this field.
The book in your hand is the product of ten years of research. During my research of numerous documents and books, reaching the Ottoman’s period postcard editors’ photographs, contacting their families, visiting a cemetery at times, and finding the graves of the editors were the most uplifting side of my work. Entering the world of these special people helped me to develop my knowledge and skills about the subject.
The lack of resources on period forced me, extend the research process; but I did not share any information that I was unsure of and I could not find evidence of.
This work is a beginning for collectors and enthusiasts of the subject. Developing studies is at the hands of cartophiles and researchers. During time, the information will be updated, maybe the families of the editors will be reached, or new editors will have come to light. I have already heard the cartophiles say “This editor is not in the book, but I have his/her postcard.”
As a man who gave importance to the collection and collecting since my childhood, I have given this book to (you) cartophiles and as a guide to our young friends who want to start postcard collecting.
